4' Visual barriers are in place and entrance/exit is gated.

Indoor crating is available unless your dog is disruptive in which case we ask that your dog be car crated until it's time for your run(s). Please bring your own crate. Dogs must be crated during the trial.

​

Bring indoor shoes and a towel to wipe your dog's paws if it's wet. No outdoor shoes will be permitted in the ring. Outdoor shoes should be left as close to the door as possible.

NOTE: There is no longer registration of dogs during the trial. Please ensure that your dog has been registered with CARO and you have a registration number before you enter.

Registration will close on Saturday January 21st, earlier if the trial fills before that date. There will be no registration option once the trial is full. If you wish to be added to a waiting list contact the Trial secretary or Trial chairperson at the emails listed above.

Cost

$23 per event

payment method: email transfer. Payable only after registration is accepted.

FEO runs $23 per event. Let the judges know at the ring if your run is FEO.

Many food options are available in Kemptville. None is provided on site.

Walking trails at Ferguson Forest Centre. Access available across highway 44 or off of highway 43.

General Information:

 

This is a Canadian Association of Rally Obedience (CARO) sanctioned trial that will be held under CARO rules and regulations. Through submission of their entry, the Competitor acknowledges that they have read and understand the CARO rules and regulations.

​

All dogs must have a CARO registration number in order to compete. This registration should be applied for in advance of the trial.

​

It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or engages in unsafe, disruptive, or aggressive behavior may be asked to leave the show grounds; no refunds will be given.

​

An officiating Judge, and/or the Chairperson of the trial, may dismiss from the trial site any person subjecting the Judge, or members, or the organizing committee to abuse, whether that person is competing in the trial or not. All decisions by judges are final, including whether or not a dog is fit to compete.

 

Female dogs in season must withdraw from competition. Females in season can unfairly detract from the performance of other dogs. Refunds will be issued in this case.

Prong collars, choke chains, e-collars and other similar devices are not permitted on the property at any time. No retractible leashes may be used during the trial.

​

Dog Aggression: Please give all dogs space. Any dog engaging in aggressive behaviour may be asked to leave the premises without a refund.

Registration

The link below will take you to a registration and waiver form. Please read, fill out ,and sign the form.

You will be sent an email with instructions for payment. DO NOT PAY up front until your entry has been confirmed. You will receive payment directions at that time. 

Failure to pay your entry will cause you to lose your spot and any wait listed requests will be filled.

Trials tend to fill quickly and entries will be taken on a first come, first served basis by timestamp on your registration form.

 

You will be given the option to sign up for a wait list if the trial fills before your entry is processed.

Run order and approximate timing of courses will be sent to participants before the trial date.
